Scope of application

This privacy statement informs users about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider Aktionsgemeinschaft Ost-West Dienste gGmbH ("AOW"), Dr. Christoph Wassermann, Fellbacher Str. 27, 70327 Stuttgart, ostwestdienste@yahoo.de on this app (hereinafter "Offer").

The legal basis for data protection can be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG) as well as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

Family friendly and directed to children

As this app is primarily aimed at children under the age of 13, we adhere to strict privacy and child protection guidelines.

Use of SDKs

This app does not contain any APIs or SDKs that are not family friendly. It does not contain Google Log-in or other Google API services with access to data associated with a Google account. There is also no access to OAuth secured interfaces. The app does not have logins or access to content that is not suitable for children. We are using a HTTPClient to query audio files and language data from a ftp server.

Neither Bluetooth nor the exact location is used.

Advertising

No ads are displayed in this app and no ads are embedded.

Also, no usage data is collected for advertising or profiling purposes and no user data is shared. No device fingerprinting is created and no cookies are used.

Restricted areas

There are no restricted areas in this app. All areas are freely accessible.

Local notifications

With our app primarily aimed at children, children can receive local notifications on their devices. This means that the child-facing app can send notifications to the device at preset times, but does not collect any personal data related to the notifications. We do not use push notifications in our app.

Target audience

The primary target audience of this app is children and the content is audio short stories to listen to and download.

Access data/ Server log files

The provider (or its web space provider) collects data about each access to the offer (so-called server log files). The access data includes:

Name of the retrieved media file, file, date and time of retrieval, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, the user agent, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.
We retain children's personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and delete the information using reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access or use. The data will not be made available to third parties and it will not be sold.
The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the offer. However, the provider reserves the right to subsequently review the log data if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete indications.

Email contact data

In the app player there is a possibility to send a message or ask a question. This opens up the users email client and the user can email our support team.

The collected email data is only stored as long it is needed to answer the posed question. The email address and personal information is not shared with any third party.

Contact information

When contacting the provider (by e-mail to contact@storyforchildren.org) the user's details are stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.

Integration of third-party services and content

No content from other websites or services will be included. No analytics solution is integrated either.

Revocation, changes, corrections and updates

The user has the right, upon request and free of charge, to receive information about the personal data stored about him. In addition, the user has the right to correct incorrect data, blocking and deletion of his personal data, provided that this does not conflict with any legal obligation to retain data.
